Pirates Galore !

I just never got into thsi blogging stuff, but I am enthused to try again.

For the last couple of years I have been working on a great game called Blood & Plunder. I'm a devil on the FB page but not bery good at photos or commentry. Today though I thought I'd get everything out and have a session.

The Spanish are attacking a small English harbour favoured by Privateers They probably want to get their hands on the Golden Statue. The  Port-Captain, his Lady and their servant look on. The merchant and his drinking buddy seen unconcerned, although they may not have seen the natives lurking behind the barrels.
The Militia and Buccaneers are moving to stop the Spanish as the storm ashore from their Sloop and Piragua. The Sailors and Freebooters of the English Bark (including one disguised woman) are doing their best to intervene.

The Spanish Lanceroes have jumped ashore and are trying to rush the Militia who have taken one fatigue hit already, presumably from cannon fire.

Even the famous Blundermonkey is involved if you look closely.

Almost all the figures and the two big ships are by Firelock. The Blundermonkey is from someoen I can't remember, and the same applies to the Militia Officer, three crew on the Botik and the Merchants drinking buddy. The Natives are Pygmies from Wargames Foundry. The Piragua is in fact a card model of Peter the Greats Botik. A neat little model that took just 45 mins to assemble.

I still have Danes and European troops to paint, plus a Galleon, a Fluyt, a Frigate and a Piragua to pain, and who could resist some undead pirates.
